Hakan Senbir consulted ACEV in co-operation with PROJECT HOUSE EURO RSCG in terms of interactive strategies for ACEV.
ACEV is the most well-known foundation for mother and child education. A research project carried out from 1982 to 1986 on the educational status of preschool-aged children by Prof. Dr. Sevda Bekman, Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı and Prof. Dr. Diane Sunar of Boğaziçi University, revealed that work in this area was extremely inadequate and many preschool-aged children were unable to receive education in Turkey. To meet this need, the researchers developed and began implementation of the Mother Child Support Program (MOCEP), an alternative, home-based preschool education program. Activities were conducted as projects for some time, and later took on a more structured form with contributions from Ayşen Özyeğin, President of the Board of Directors. The Mother Child Education Foundation (ACEV) was founded in 1993.
