Ilko Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is part of SELÇUKLU HOLDING as well as ILKO R&D Center, Inc. founded for the purpose carrying out R&D activities and the R&D Center is based in Hacettepe University Beytepe Teknokent. Owned by the ÖNCEL family and in addition to investments in other industries, the group has been in the pharmaceuticals industry for almost 50 years.

The headquarters of ILKO Pharmaceuticals is in Istanbul (Sancaktepe) and its production facilities, the construction of which is almost complete and spans over an area of 250.000 m ² in Konya 3rd Organized Industrial Zone, is the largest investment for pharmaceutical production in Anatolia. The objective is to launch production at the beginning of 2011 and the annual production capacity is planned to be 120 million boxes following the completion of investment. At the initial phase, solid, liquid and semi-liquid pharmaceuticals that will be developed and registered by ILKO R&D Center will be produced; R&D activities and investment on products such as sterile powder, ampul and cephalosporin group antibiotics and medicine for cancer treatment that could be produced in specialized production facilities will continue in upcoming periods.

Given its capacity and modern technology, it is one of the objectives of the group to not only produce medicine that are needed in Turkey but also export those to potential markets.
